VSP 6.3 Service Guard packaged VM's with NFS backing store and guest application monitoring

First we create the on the nfs server a FS for the VM's disks, and then we export it via NFS:

root@BL860c:/etc/dfs> cd /so-nfs-disk
root@BL860c:/so-nfs-disk> dd if=/dev/zero of=vm1-so.disk bs=1024k count=30000
30000+0 records in
30000+0 records out
root@BL860c:/so-nfs-disk> bdf
root@BL860c:/so-nfs-disk> du -sk vm1-so.disk
30720016 vm1-so.disk

The file needs bin:sys to work:

HP blade Virtual Connect CLI examples

Hi,

Here and example on using the VC from the CLI:

we are going to create and uplink with 2 uplinkports, it has 3 vlans running in the trunk, so we will create 3 networks with vlan, and another network without uplink for Heartbeat inside the chassis.

->show uplinkport

Bulding and getting registerd a DLKM module by hand in HPUX 11.11

root@hprert:/var/tmp/DEPOT/DTC/Programs/usr/conf/dtc> kminstall -a dtc

sasmgr intro and commands, LSI raid Controller in bl860x,rx6660,2660,etc

We delete the current raid, so we can start from Zero:

root@rx6600:/> sasmgr delete -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid -q raid_vol=5

WARNING: This is a DESTRUCTIVE operation.
This might result in failure of current I/O requests.
Do you want to continue ?(y/n) [n]...
RAID Volume 5 deleted successfully.

So now we have this physical drives:

Remove Single bit errors from CSTM

You can use CSTM>Logtool Utility for clearing memory log and you can clear the PDT table by interrupting the boot process, entering the service menu, (type ser at the MAIN> prompt,) and typing pdt clear.

This will invoke another reboot, and once the system comes back, you can start monitoring memory all over.
The PDT process de-allocates bad memory.Best not to clear it without replacing.

Logtool Utility:

The Logtool Utility allows you to monitor recoverable errors detected by the computer, such as single-bit memory errors and I/O device errors.
